Vanessa joined Hackman Capital Partners (HCP) in 2019 and currently serves as the Corporate Controller. In this role, she oversees accounting and financial reporting for HCP and the management entities, including the monthly-close process, budgeting and forecasting, tax management, promote distributions and lender reporting.
Vanessa has more than 12 years of experience in accounting, with a background in both corporate and public accounting. Prior to joining HCP, Vanessa spent five years with CBIZ and Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C., a national public accounting firm (NYSE: CBZ), where she served as an Audit Supervising Senior. During her time in public accounting, she managed audit engagements involving financial reporting, risk assessment, internal controls and financial analysis, while also supervising and mentoring engagement teams.
Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Accountancy from California State University, Northridge.
