Julia started at Hackman Capital Partners (HCP) in 2024. As the Chief Compliance Officer, she oversees regulatory matters with respect to HCP’s private equity funds, corporate governance and risk management. Her responsibilities include providing regulatory guidance and support to the company’s business and senior management. She also has overall responsibility for HCP’s compliance program.
Prior to joining HCP, Julia was Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Corporate Counsel at Xebec Realty, where she led strategic corporate transactions, private fund formations and divestitures, while overseeing all Advisers Act regulatory matters. Prior to Xebec, Julia practiced for more than nine years in the General Counsel’s office of Health Net, Inc. (HNT-Fortune 500) where she advised Health Net’s Board of Directors and senior management on a wide range of legal matters, prepared HNT’s SEC filings and oversaw annual shareholder meetings. Prior to HNT, Julia was an associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins, LLP where she represented sponsors in raising private equity funds, companies and investors in the private issuance of equity securities, and general corporate governance matters.
Julia received her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law (Order of the Coif), and served as law clerk to the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew of the United States District Court, Central District of California. Julia received her B.S. from CSU-Chico.
