Nelson Alemany

Associate General Counsel

Nelson joined Hackman Capital Partners (HCP) in 2022 as Real Estate Counsel, and now serves as Associate General Counsel of HCP. Nelson oversees legal matters and provides support on all legal aspects of the firm and its affiliated entities.

Prior to joining HCP, Nelson practiced as a real estate transactional attorney for several years at both law firms and in-house legal departments. Nelson began his legal career at Pircher Nichols and Meeks LLP, a prominent boutique real estate law firm in Los Angeles, before lateraling to Goodwin Procter LLP. While working for these firms, Nelson represented a wide range of clients, including private equity firms, family offices, real estate funds, developers, financial institutions, hotel brands, REITs, and governmental institutions. Nelson’s legal practice involved sophisticated real estate and corporate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, leases, and hotel management agreements, across office, retail, hospitality, residential, mixed-use, and industrial assets.

In 2021, Nelson left Goodwin to join Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, a publicly traded REIT, where he served as Real Estate Counsel before joining HCP.

Nelson earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles and his B.B.A. In International Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami.
